Earlier this week we shared with you a photo of a sample Air Force II inspired by the classic Prada Shoes of red and green. We have seen a few variations of the “Gucci” Air Force II that included more colors and other cosmetic touches, but Politics just shared with us photos of another variation of the shoe.On this sample Nike adds much more of the classic “Green-Red-Green” stripes to the shoes along the ankle TPU and laces. In addition to added color is a black tone-on-tone paisley pattern that subtly graces the upper. What will the final product look like?

Only time will help us out with this one. No word on when this officially will release, but the colors would make February (Black History Month) a good time to release in my opinion. More shots after the break.

Vintage scarves bring back a fashion statement from the past. The most desirable fabric is silk. Collectors look for well-known names like Hermes, Vitaliano Pancaldi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Vera Newman, Chanel, Pucci, Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. However, a vintage silk scarf does not have to come with a designer label to be a beautiful work of art. Vintage silk scarves in excellent condition are highly desirable to many collectors.

Designer scarves were originally made for a more affluent crowd and are still fairly expensive. Vintage Vera scarves were more affordable then, and are a bargain today (and easy to find). Snag a Vera for $15 to $75; a vintage Hermes scarf can be as much as $350.

Purchase A Perfect Handbag For Yourself
We aгe most conceгned about the quality when we aгe buying a leather handbag. Every handbag consists of e?ght elements, no matter designer handbags or replica handbags. As long as the eight elements аre fene, then tee qυality should be fine.
1.The surface. The suгface ie like the human face, should be flat and smooth, and no seaмs other than design in purрose, no bumps, nor rough leather edges. Color should be even.

What do you do Throw it away Not when it is a silk scarf and you know how beautifully silk dies and what a wonderful opportunity this would be to experiment.

This scarf began as a simple two faced broken twill stripe. I think the original warp was white with stripes of ikat which just somehow didn’t look right when I was done. So I decided to overdye it. The idea of cross stripes came to mind and I gathered it across the scarf with ikat tape, overdyed it with Procion MX dye using a dark brown. I can see where there might have been ikat streaks and overall I was happy with the result.

You can add depth to fabric with layers of surface design techniques. For this pastel silk crepe scarf,  I made a dye paste by mixing professional procion silk dyes with alginate to make the dye a good consistency for silk screening. I cut some simple shapes from craft paper and silk screened them onto the fabric, decided that wasn’t enough, and started to play with stamps. I had some moldable foam (from Dharmatrading.com) that I heated and pressed against screen mesh and dried reeds to make the geometric shapes of the second layer.

Once I steam set those colors into the silk, I painted the thickened dye paste onto some rubber stamps I’d made and scattered leaves across the background.  I added a few scattered dots from leaf to leaf with a pencil eraser and voila, a subtle pastel leaf scarf.
