probably should have been the name of my blog.
I am Sasha Fierce Rebecca Bloomwood! I wore my Louis Vuitton scarf to the movie. I’m the girl in the green scarf! And I work in financial news.
Aside from the unavoidable parallels to my life, I noticed several things (as in items!) in the movie. Read the breakdown of some of Rebecca’s outfits that I posted earlier here.

Dante West is supposed to be Conde Nast, but it was actually shot in the Hearst Magazines building.
Leslie Bibb, who plays Alicia in the movie, was Brooke McQueen on Popular on the WB from 1999-2001. I love her! I used to be totally obsessed with that show. It was before a lot of people had cell phones, so if people would call for me during the show I would get totally pissed and have my mom tell them I wasn’t home. I wanted my hair to look just like hers and I almost died when she had this light pink suede jacket and cropped pants I wanted?from the Gap.

Stephen Guarino, the secretary at Dante West, was Vincent, the art teacher in The Clique movie! He’s too funny. I love him.

Anyway. Handbag sightings:
On the rack of clothes at Alette, you could see Valentino’s rosette tote in pink/red. So gorgey! Want it. Have BEEN wanting it for like? year. It originally retailed for $1950.

THEN Alicia came out and for a hot minute you could see her carrying the black Valentino Maison studded tote in black, which retails for $2495.

When Rebecca and Alette were shopping at Barney’s, I thought Alette was carrying the Burberry Alligator hobo for a minute (it retailed for $22,000!) but that wasn’t it.
Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella is an enjoyable book series if you’re looking for a great read. I wonder if there will be a sequel to the movie!
