Best Bet: Smooth Applicator

Photo: Courtesy of Skyn Iceland

Dark circles, puffiness, and crow’s feet all serve as unwelcome reminders of your age, or what you did the night before. Thankfully, Skyn Iceland recently made its Icelandic Relief Eye Cream into a convenient, portable pen. Packed with rice peptides to soften wrinkles, vitamin K to lighten dark circles, and orange peel to combat puffiness, this handy pen tackles everything. The easy and non-messy application means you can chuck it into your bag and do touch-ups throughout the day. We won’t give up late-night partying, but at least our eyes won’t look as bad as we feel the next morning.

$20 at Sephora (for store locations, sephora.com).

I have seen kits for sale that are $49.00 and higher, but you can make your own kit for much less using supplies you may already have at home. My mom made mine by buying a cute vintage looking box from Ross for less than $10 and filled it with the following:

Aspirin, Sewing Kit, Safety Pins, Nail File, Kleenex, Mints/Gum, Compact Mirror, Clear Nail Polish, Band-Aids, Band-Aid Blister Blocker, Bobby Pins, Visine, Hair Spray, Deoderant, Tide Stain Remover Pen and Double Stick Tape.

We ended up using only a few of the items, but we had a VERY small wedding party (just a Maid of Honor and Best Man) so no real emergencies, thank goodness! But I was glad we had everything “just in case”!

If you still want to purchase one, I found this one at www.scarfonlineshop.com?for $49.00.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Now Shilling Football Maternity Clothes

Photo: Courtesy of Reebok

Reebok is launching a line of football-themed maternity wear. NFL apparel for women is the company’s fastest-growing business. It seems more than 40 percent of people who watch NFL games are women. What? And according to Reebok, they’re clamoring for football-themed apparel. We are not among this demographic, and rest assured we could never in good conscience make this stuff up. Reebok feels like it’s been doing a pretty good job of attiring women in these "football" clothes. However they just realized they’ve been failing the pregnant ones. Pregnant ladies reportedly buy oversize men’s football shirts that fit over their bellies, but these aren’t figure-flattering. Troubling on so many levels. So Reebok just started making tight maternity football tees with (shudder) team logos and "fun" sayings like "Kicker" and "#1 Draft Pick." And Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who’s expecting her third child in August and is married to a former NFL "quarterback," models them in the campaign. She claims women are "truly the most intense of the fans." Yet further evidence that she resides on another planet. In our world, "#1 Draft Pick" will forever go by one name, and one name only: Guinness.

Raf Simons designed a special collection for the celebration of Fred Perry’s 100th anniversary, due in stores November 1. We got a preview of the clothes, which include a jacket, polo, button-down shirt, tie, sweater, and a pair of pants. Each item features an interior tag adorned with the number 100 under the traditional Fred Perry laurel-wreath logo, a subtle detail that’s tucked inside so you won’t become a walking advertisement for the label. This collection marks the fourth season of the collaboration between Simons and Fred Perry, and will be available at Opening Ceremony. See more from the collection below.

Hamptons season is upon us, and a slew of beachy new stores have cropped up this spring to cater to all your getaway needs: tiny bikinis, oversize sunglasses, flirty dresses, floppy hats, totes, and — for those who like to commemorate the annual summer exodus — an assortment of exclusive Hamptons beach towels. The ever-expanding retail scene includes newcomers like Steven Alan, La Perla, and Madewell, supplying everything from skimpy lingerie to distressed jean shorts. We’ve rounded up a smattering of notable newcomers for your next seaside jaunt.

Trina Turk

This is Turk’s first stand-alone boutique in the area, offering menswear, womenswear, and swimwear in bright, summery prints. Those furnishing summer homes can peruse vintage patio furniture reupholstered in the label’s signature fabrics. The store is decorated to resemble a beach shack, with Warner Baird’s California Girls paintings from the sixties lining the walls.

Steven Alan Bazaar
52 Newtown Lane, nr. Park Pl., East Hampton (631-604-1726)
Steven Alan’s men’s, women’s, and children’s collections are on display, as well as apparel, footwear, accessories from over a dozen other covetable labels like Acne, Rogan, TOMS, Billy Kirk, and more.

Clic Bookstore and Gallery

Calypso founder Christiane Celle handpicked several new artists to exhibit in her new bookstore this summer, including paintings by Alex Beard, beachy photographs by Jean-Philippe Piter and Vivian Polak, and surf-themed mixed-media collages by Tony Cramanico.

Madewell Hamptons
20 Newtown Lane, nr. Barnes Ln., East Hampton (631-324-0363)
Apart from the compulsory denim bar, the new 1,000-square-foot Madewell shop offers exclusive merchandise, like a Madewell Hampton’s Map tote and beach towel, as well as vintage hats, jewelry, and photographs. The spot will host weekend "how-to" workshops, featuring various artists, designers, and fashion editors.

Hermès
63 Main St., nr. Park Pl., East Hampton (631-324-1177)
This seasonal outpost is the brand’s first summer- and resort-specific store, open May through September. In addition to apparel, accessories, handbags, and small leather goods, the shop stocks exclusives like a zebra-print Hermès beach towel and a one-of-a-kind white leather saddle.

Screaming Mimi’s
662 Montauk Highway, nr. S. Elder St., Montauk (631-668-1631)
The vintage mainstay’s 750-square-foot pop-up is back again this summer, packed with dresses, beachwear, sunglasses, flip-flops, and accessories. This year, the store is also featuring collaborative and limited-edition items: street-chic apparel from Combhard, T-shirts and bags from surf brand Mollusk, wide-leg jeans by Mack Dugan, and mermaid- and sailor-print beach towels.

Yummy!Photo: WireImage

Last night in a nondescript garment-district building, Abigail Lorick presented her spring 2009 collection in a modest twelfth-floor showroom. Lorick is picking up steam now that the Gossip Girl ladies are wearing it on the show, but it’s still very much up-and-coming, and actually kind of mirrors the show: Plenty of people know about it, love it, and eagerly support it, but it’s no Proenza. It was hard to spot a girl in the crowd last night not wearing a Lorick frock. Blair Waldorf wannabes milled about in satin-y headbands with their gentlemen friends who channeled smarmy Chuck Basses with their uniformly unbuttoned necklines, sweating from the steamy, slow elevator ride up to the showroom. "If there’s no air-conditioning up there, I’m throwing a drink on myself, grabbing a gift bag, and running out the door," one fellow said on our ride up. Charming. (The AC worked upstairs, and cocktails were served with nary a gift bag in sight.) Gossip Girl cast members in attendance included Nicole Fiscella and Amanda Setton. They insisted the label send cars to bring them to the presentation. Divas so soon, ladies?

The collection of pretty A-line dresses and jumpers in brilliant shades of emerald and navy accented with ruffles was darling and perfectly Gossip Girl. Models lounged on different sets: In one corner a girl perched atop a pile of mattresses à la The Princess and the Pea. Across the room more models relaxed in a faux-garden twirling croquet mallets with fake birds perched above their heads. At the kitchen set overrun with dirty dishes models huddled around a partially destroyed multitiered cake poking at it with spoons and pretending to feast. Eventually a kind soul carried another cake to a group of girls on the garden set. Rather than pretend, they gleefully dipped their fingers in the icing and licked it up.

Iman Gets Self-conscious; Isaac Mizrahi Opening a Store

Photo: Getty Images

• Iman said she doesn’t much care for her legs, so she wears pants a lot. Aw, supermodels — they’re (kind of) like us!

• Kate Moss and Jamie Hince got into a fight over the weekend, resulting in her tossing his man bag and laptop into a swimming pool, killing six new songs he’d been working on.

• Jewelry brand Damiani signed a deal with Jil Sander to create a line of jewelry and watches for the label. The line will launch in early 2010.

• Prince William’s girlfriend, Kate Middleton, apparently has an offer from Anna Wintour to intern at Vogue either in New York or in Los Angeles.

• Lily Cole was one of three students to receive top marks from Cambridge University, where she’s studying art history.

• Isaac Mizrahi will open a 1,500-square-foot store in the Upper East Side in August.

We Love … Giuseppe Zanotti

Photo: Courtesy of Giuseppe Zanotti Design

With shoes having replaced bags as the accessory to change the look each season, Giuseppe Zanotti is the man of the moment. An ex-D.J., his rocker roots are clearly evident in his design aesthetic. Claiming Beyoncé, Gisele, and Kate Hudson among his many celebrity fans, his boots are made for watching as well as wearing! Here are five reasons we love Giuseppe Zanotti.

1. His shoes are so eighties, which makes them so right now.
2. Balmain designer Christophe Decarnin uses his shoes every season.
3. These are statement shoes — nothing timid about them.
4. They’re equally great with jeans or a cocktail dress.
5. Always a bit tough, always a lot sexy.

Black Satin Knee Boots With Three Silver Buckles and Fringe, $1,975; Black Suede Crisscross Strappy Open-Toe Heels With Gold Grommet, $650; Black Leather Crocodile-Embossed Over-the-Knee Flat Boot, price upon request. Available at Giuseppe-zanotti-design.com and at Giuseppe Zanotti, 806 Madison Ave., nr. 67th St.; 212-650-0455.

Editors Hit the Beach in Heels for Karl’s Chanel Cruise Show
Watch the slideshow

Photo: Getty Images

Here’s what you missed at Chanel’s 2010 cruise show in Venice yesterday:

1. The show took place on Lido beach, leaving many editors fighting a battle between high heels and sand.
2. Front row guests had to sit on wooden deck chairs.
3. The show started two hours late because Karl Lagerfeld insisted on starting at sunset. Hopefully front row-ers brought those foam butt pads common in football stadiums. Fat-less asses may look great in clothes but sitting on them is another story.
4. Karl wore a blue jacket to match the sea!
5. Models wore Marchesa Casati–inspired wigs and makeup.
6. No heels got stuck in the boardwalk runway. All models remained standing.
7. Speaking of models, the cast included Lara Stone, Tatjana Patitz, and Heidi Mount.
8. Guests went home with a Chanel beach towel. And also possibly mosquito bites.

Check out the action in the slideshow.
